Hi HDR-Fans,

This is the second time I create a speedmotion movie about moving clouds. My really first HDR movie "Running clouds" had a big success. That's the reason why I decided to create a new one about this subject. I just had to wait to the right day when the clouds are looking quite menacing and the day before yesterday was such a day.
I'm still regretting that I forgot my glovers at home when I was standing on the field where I took all the photographs. I can tell you it was so windy and that ment that it was so frickin' cold out there! Imagine, in the one hand you have to hold the stop watch ( since every 5s I had to take a photograph) and on the other hand the cable remote controle and you're not allowed to move in the cold wind for more than 30 minutes. When I came back into my warm home my hands started heavyly to swell. Even 24h after the photo session my hands were still swollen. But now everything is right =)


Here are some technical information:

360 HDR's
1080 LDR's ( low dynamic range, or just normal photos)
Camera: EOS 350D
Objective: 18-55mm EF
Equipment: Tripod and a cabel remote control
Hours of work: ~8 hours

Oooh man I was so psyched to see another one of your HDR stopmotion works in my message center! This is awesome, brilliant video! I love the vehicles and bikes in this one :D

wirklich cool! schade dass es hier nicht den verdienten anklang hier findet offenbar, is ja echt ne mordsarbeit die dahinter steckt. :omg:
was noch richtig geil dazu passen würde wär ein musikhintergrund. irgendwas was die atmosphäre des bildes zusätzlich betont (so koyaanisqatsi mäßig irgendwie^^) oder irgendwas mysteriöses.
ich wollt mich auch mal an so einem hdr video (oder zumindest einer hdr animation) versuchen, aber bis jetz hat mich der aufwand der dahinter steckt immer etwas abgeschreckt.

Stimmt schon! Aber mittlerweile hält sich das mit der Arbeit in Grenzen. Zum Glück besitzt Photomatix und Photoshop die Batchverarbeitungsfunktion, mit der gleich ganze Stapel von Bilder verarbeitet werden können. Das macht das Ganze doch schon um einiges einfacher. Trotzdem bleibt die Arbeit, dass man verdammt viele Fotos schießen muss. Mal schauen, vielleicht springt ja irgendwann einmal eine Daily Deviation für einen meiner HDR-Clips heraus, denn dann würden die Clips um einiges mehr an Aufmerksamkeit erfahren :aww:

Das mit der Musik ist eine gute Idee! Werde ich mir fürs nächste mal merken und danke für dein Feedback! =)

Japp! Wobei ich glaube, dass der Dreck auf dem Bildsensor liegt :( Kurz bevor ich mit den Aufnahmen begonnen habe, habe ich extra nochmal das Objektiv abgepuzt um genau diese Flecken zu vermeiden. Wenn ich mich recht erinnere, hatte ich bereits auf früheren Fotos ähnliche Flecken genau an den selben Stellen wie dieses mal. Grrrr....

Wow thanks Hobo! I didn't know that meanwhile there is a fan who is already psyched of my HDR stopmotion clips when she sees them in their message center :D

That is a great motivation for me to create further ones =)
